What is the National Alliance to End Veteran Suicide?

NA2EVS is a program of the Veterans Family Fund of America and under the direction of that 501(c)3 and its Board Of Directors.  We are a grass root effort that invites everyone with a warm heart for our Veterans and their families to join.  We are positioned between the Federal VA and your State's Veteran Programs, cutting the red tape and doing what they cannot do.

How can I get involved?

1st) Set your mind on the fact that if we all do a little it adds up to a lot for our Veterans and their families, and that matter how much or little you do, it will make a difference for many.   2nd) Contact our Program Director to setup a call to discuss what you are passionate about and what you would like to take on.  Visit our Volunteer / Career Opportunities page to learn what's possible.

What is the Veterans Family Fund of America?

The Veterans Family Fund of America is an independent nongovernmental, grassroots organization located in Washington state, founded by ordinary citizens wanting to make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families. In Washington state. the Veterans Family Fund of America is working with the state Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) to make sure donated funds are used to meet the greatest needs of Veterans and their families.  We are a stand to create this type of connection will all states of our great nation.

How much will veterans and their families receive from the CD?

Even though interest rates have been low, veterans and their families receive 100% of all revenue generated by the VFFA-CD Program. What makes the difference, is that the program is funded through the participation of a great many people who invest as much as they can.

Who is eligible to receive help, and how will needs be identified?

All veterans of U.S. military service and their families are eligible and may apply for aid. The Veterans Family Fund of America works with the veterans’ network in the state of Washington to identify needs and provide funding.

What percentage of donations will go directly to veterans in need?

Veterans and their families in need will receive 100 percent of funds received from the VFFA-CD Program. Participating financial institutions and supplementary public and private grants will underwrite administrative costs.

Who is responsible for distributing money to veterans?

The Veterans Family Fund of America pays the approved expenses of Veterans and their families directly to those owed. The Veterans Innovations Program, a tax-exempt governmental unit under section 170 of the IRS code, authorized by the Washington state legislature in 2006, has a mission to provide flexible funds to veterans who served in recent military action. The Veterans Innovations Program serves as advisor to the Veterans Family Fund and insures that only the greatest financial needs are met by the VFFA-CD Program. Based on the case management of profesional WVDA personnel, the VFFA pays directly for critical expenses to keep Veterans and their families in their homes and to meet basic needs not provided by other Veterans' programs.

Are these organizations related to the federal Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C.?

No. The VA in Washington, D.C., is part of the federal government. The Department of Veterans Affairs in Olympia, Washington, is a state agency created to serve veterans within the state. The Veterans Innovations Program is part of the state network of support.

I don’t live in Washington state. If I buy a Veterans Family Fund CD, will my contribution support veterans in my state?

At this time, no. The infrastructure is in place only in Washington State, although we hope to see the program expand to every state.
